Ostara, Spring is Coming.

It's Coming Fast! Spring! The time when the land becomes bright with the Spring colors. The time to start planting. Here the Goddess becomes the Maiden Of Spring and the God becomes the Green God. The spring equinox in the Northern Hemisphere falls on Tuesday, March 20 this year, marking the time when the sun passes over the celestial equator.

To me, this is the most beautiful time of the year, the animals start to peek out of their winter homes and start to run around. Love is in the air.

Setting up your alter with bright colors, eggs, and the images of the God as the Green God and The Goddess as the Maiden. This is a time of fertility. A time when the Goddess and God consummate their union. Ostara is a fertility goddess. Her annual arrival in spring is heralded by the flowering of trees and plants and the arrival of babies, both animal and human.

Our Coven will be celebrating this with a party, We plan this with the intention of teaching others about the God And Goddess and the cycles of the year. We enjoy having food for celebration for the God and Goddess. Our Ritual will be shared with others so they may wish to join or watch.
